Not sure what to say?

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I still have tears
But know you are near LOVE Feb. 14

Miss you dad....Laurie

I was priveleged to have Peter as a mentor many years ago. He was very down-to-earth and unassuming but had a keen business sense and taught me valuable life lessons as well as woodcarving. So glad I had a chance to reconnect with him last summer in Branson.

It was always fun to come in to visit with Peter in the Grand Village and to get some painting pointers from Mary.

Our sympathy to Virginia and family and to everyone at Engler Designs especially Mary B.

Mr Engler helped to put Branson on the map through his master woodcarving and craftsmanship. A true Branson "star"- his stage was his workbench, costume of overalls and apron, crew in early years were Mrs. Engler and their five children. His audiance stood in amazement of his talent and productions. His legacy will live forever in many of our homes through his carvings. This community is better place because Peter was here.

Peter was a good friend to my father Garvin "Mac" McCutcheon. They both worked together at Silver Dollar City from the beginning of the Woodcarvers Shop. I am sure they are in a joyous reunion in Heaven right now. Pete was such a sweet, kind, helpful man. He will be missed by all who knew him. All his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

A fine man; he will be missed.

I consulted with Pete many times at SDC and respected him, his work and his ideas for the years I worked there. He was a great guy and will be missed. Someone should do a wood carving to be placed at SDC. It was his love.

Although I didn't know Mr. Engler I did see him at SDC many years ago & after I told him that he bought my parents (Malcolm & Virginia Sherwood) he was gracious enough to see that we had passes to SDC for another time. I'm sure he would have been worthy of a long time acquaintance. He did a lot for the Branson area in tourism.
