ST. ALBANS, VT / RIDGEFIELD, CT - Peter Anthony Forcelli, age 87, passed away Thursday morning November 27, 2003 at Haven Health Care Nursing Home in St. Albans.

He was born September 7, 1916 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late Antonio & Antoinetta (DiBerardino) Forcelli.

At the age of 7, his family moved to the Branchville Section of Ridgefield, CT, where he resided for his entire life until 1998 when he moved with his sister, Edith to St. Albans, VT. Peter worked for 45 years for the Gilbert & Bennett Manufacturing Co. in Georgetown, CT. retiring in 1977. Peter lived with his sister Edith and her family his entire life. He did not have children of his own but was a beloved and special Uncle to all of his nieces and nephews.

Peter was a long-time fan of the New York Yankees and at the age of 13 he saw Babe Ruth Play. Later in life he enjoyed walking and spending time with his great grand nieces Rachel & Megan who were the light of his life. He always dreamed of winning the lottery, but not for himself, but so he could share the money with his family.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Edith M. Dodd of St. Albans, Anne Frulla of Washington, CT; a brother, John Forcelli of Ridgefield, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including the following with who he was very close, Suzanne Burt and her husband Basil of Georgia, VT, Nancy Rodgers and her husband Wade of Alstead, NH, Eric R. Dodd and his friend Joyce Stowe of Enosburg, VT, Melissa Buckley, her husband Doug and their daughters, Rachel & Megan all of Georgia, VT, Jason Burt and his wife Christina of Georgia, VT, Lisa Methven and James Methven both of Alstead, NH.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon November 30, 2003 at 2:00 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in the Missisquoi Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.

There will be a time of visitation on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until the hour of the funeral at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls.
