Dr. Gaal was a memorable person and physician. He was a role model for all in the healthcare field. Skilled, wise, gentle, humble, kind, and giving… and he could (amazingly) smile with his eyes... these are but a few character traits that come to mind when I think of Dr. Gaal. I will always remember him talking about the importance of communication… being honest and open with people… and respectful.
My sincere condolences go out to Dr. Gaal's family and close friends,

Sandy,
My most sincere condolences for the loss of Peter. I will always remember him as a kind, gentle, and compassionate colleague and friend. Over the years, we probably spent hundreds of hours in the O.R. together and the twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face will be memories never to be forgotten. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have known him and to have worked with him.

Sandy, you know I adored your husband dearly. He was the most wonderful Doctor and teacher I have ever met. He was my employer, mentor, comic relief, my second opinion when it was really needed!!!, and the most honest and caring male friend that I had the pleasure of knowing. My heart and love is with you Sandy and the family. Just breathe, listen and remember. Blessings, Laura

Mrs. Gaal & Family:
I met Dr. Gaal in 2002 when my father-in-law required a biospy and was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Although, Dr. Gaal knew his stage was advanced he gave us the comfort and the hope we needed to bear such sad news. He left an everlasting impression on how a doctor who has been practicing for many years had not lost the kindness and compassion his patients required. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. Our prayers are with you all.

Sandy, Becky & family -
My sincere sympathy in the loss of a magnificent human being. There will never be a man as kind and caring as he was to work for. I thought of him often and always hoped he was well. May your memories get you through a most difficult time. God bless.
