Not sure what to say?

Thank you, Peter and Mimi

Pete (Dr. Gibbs) was one of my favorite professors and also my thesis advisor and mentor at the U of U in the 1960's. He was joint author on a research paper which we published in the journal Acta Metallurgica in 1963, with the abstract in English, French, and German. This article was later referenced in a text book which dealt with high pressure physics and also fracture dynamics.
He made me acquainted with the great physical chemist Henry Eyring, who worked with Albert Einstein...

Dear Nick and the entire Gibbs family. The years I spent enveloped in the Gibbs family enriched my life and secured my path forward. Mimi, your words still stay with me as the needle of my moral compass. Oh--Peta,Peta, Peta--
Nick, no one on this earth has enjoyed his time as I did with you. We did great things together. Peter was always our cornerstone and made it possible for us to meet and succeed.

Thank you Mimi for being you and taking me inside your family.

I love you...

Dear Gibbs Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your family so fondly but with a bit of awe as well. Such a confidant, lively, self possessed people, so vibrant. This is an elegant and moving tribute. May I matter a fraction as much as your father and mother did to the world.
My sincerest condolences
Emily G Smith

So sorry to read of Dr. Gibbs' passing. Nearly every day I loved seeing him walk past our house on Laurel St. on his way home. He always seemed to have a good sense of humor. And I will never forget the speaker at my U. commencement: Dr. Murray Gell-Mann. I'm sure Dr. Gibbs had a hand in that! We all felt privileged to know him and your family.
