I was very upset to hear about the death of my dear friend Pete. We taught at Burnet for many years together. He came up for my retirement party two years ago and I have a beautiful picture of us together which I will cherish always. I cannot attend the wake as I have an engagement with several friends in New York which was planned in August and they are coming from a distance to meet there. It is not something that I can switch. I will be at mass on Monday. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
