Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Judy and young Peter on a great loss to a great, wonderful, kind, smart, funny, story teller, loyal, and sweet down to earth person. I met Peter 41 years ago at Skora´s Barber Styling Shop. I took over cutting his hair after the late George Skora retired. He became a monthly customer. I was always happy to see him and hear about his travel´s with Judy. RIP my friend I will never forget your laugh and smile. Thank you for being in my life.

Professor Halvorson was one of my most favorite Professors. I was so inspired by his teaching of Geography 101 that I actually took three more classes in Geography including his Urban Geography class even though I was not a Geography major. He was very down to earth, and a cool University Marshall. I´ll never forget his story about how he and his wife ended up buying their home in Coventry: when you know -you just know the house is perfect. I am not surprised to learn that they stayed in...

Judy and Peter - my deepest sympathies for your loss. I was a 1981 graduate of the Urban Studies program and Peter made such an impact on my life. He secured me an internship at the state Department of Housing which started me on a 45 year career creating affordable and supportive housing! I just retired and am so grateful that I knew him and that he helped shape my life's work. He was truly inspiring and the world has lost one of its brightest stars.

He was so dedicated to the University and his community. Our condolences.

I´m sorry to hear of Dr Halvorson`s passing...my condolences to the Halvorson family. Dr Halvorson was my advisor as a graduate student `98-`00...i appreciated his guidance and support throughout my tenure @ UConn.

To the Halvorson family: I am sorry for your loss. In the fall 1974 semester I earned a "B" in Urban Geography; Peter Halvorson was probably my professor for that course and he may also have been my faculty advisor until I graduated in May 1976. He must have been a good teacher because I remember his name!
