Peter J. Hammes

I remember Pete as one of the strongest players on our LaSalle football team in 1961. He was a great teammate and friend. It's hard to believe he is gone. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My sincerest condolences to Pete's family. He will be missed by all his LSI, class of '62 classmates.

To Pete's family - I was very sadden when I heard of Pete's death. Pete and I were classmates at LaSalle. I always enjoyed his company and sense of humor. He was a super guy. God bless you all.

My deep sympathies to Pete's family. He was my LaSalle classmate, and I have not seen him since then. But clearly he led a good life, giving love and receiving it.

To Pete's wife Pat, and brothers and sisters, I can't tell you how unbelievably sad I am to hear of Pete's passing. To me, it marks the end of an era. I will remember Pete for the rest of my life, even though we were not close in the later years. I still considered him much like a brother. The world will be missing one the better people.
