It was a pleasure and an honor to be a member of Pete’s Retreads team. He ran things in a very fair fashion- often sacrificing his playing time so that the other guys could play more. He ran the Over 30 League the same way. Always putting in extra time- never once do I recall him ever complaining (well maybe once when a few teams were lax with league entry fees). We sure could use a few more Pete Hansons in the world right now. My Sincere condolences to the Hanson family.

The old saying, "if you need help, ask someone who is busy." Pete was always busy but was always the first to help. In the 1960's he and his tractor would plow my driveway, in the 70's he was there with a truck to help us move. I could go on... Peter, I was always proud to be considered one of your friends..
