Not sure what to say?

Pete was a great friend who I stayed connected with through the years. I was a part of the band Hauntz and played rhythm guitar for a short period of time between August 1985 and May 1986. Pete was one of the most amazing guitarists I have ever known. He was so talented. What a gift he had. I was greatly saddened to hear of his death and only learned of it in November of 2017. My prayers are with the Heckert family in their time of loss.

Pete Heckert York. Fair 1987

I spent this day with Dean Fox, lead singer of Pete's band, Hauntz. We cried a little but we laughed a lot. We both agreed that this was the best photo that we had of Pete.

Pete was a truly good friend to anyone he touched, he loved deep. I will never forget him. His parents should be proud of the person he was.

I wrote a dozen songs with Pete Heckert. He is one of the most talented guitar players that I have ever
met In my life. My heart is broken. My condolences
to Mr. and Mrs. Heckert. I have very fond memories
of playing in a band with Pete.
