I grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison High School in 1971. Pete Jilleba was our most famous football player of all time. The Saturday home games were the best! The whole town would show up to see Peter play. One would have to get there early for a seat in the stands or to get a front row spot on the fence. I shall miss him very much.

I graduated a year after Pete from another high school so I never knew him personally but his memory has stayed with me all these years as a great athlete. Condolences to all his family and friends.
