On Sunday, September 10, 2017 Peter Jones of Odenton, MD. beloved husband of Hortense Brown Jones passed away. He is also survived by a dear sister, Janice Jones Bell; mother-in-law, Susie Brown; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Brown, LaJoyce Myrick (Bobby), Judith Burney (George), brother-in-law, Hubert Brown, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services and interment will be in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, September 23 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 506 Bay Bridge Rd. with visitation from 12 noon until hour of service at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Reese Funeral Home, Prichard, Al.
My condolences to the Jones family. We all grew up in Plateau as next door neighbors and I remember when Peter Jr. went into the military as well as his days as a student at FAMU. He was one of a kind. He now joins Mr. Peter and Mrs. Ora Lee along with so many others. RIP Peter Jr.
