Not sure what to say?

Although its been almost 20 years now since Mr. Pete passed, I frequently remember him in my thoughts. I had the great pleasure of working for him at the Kent Lounge for close to 10 years. Mr. Pete was like a grandfather figure to me, he mentored me in the ways of business and life. He would always ask me, "Are you Larry More, or Larry Less today", something which I never really understood, but would always smile and respond. That was typical Mr. Pete, he spoke in his own way, made people...

Mrs. Karangelen, Dana, & Penny,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Pete. He was like a second dad to me. Like my brother Tom said earlier, I always remember him calling us "Bravo Boy". And I remember only too well visiting Mrs. Karangalen at her kitchen door saying to me "Is that you Daniel Mudd?" And I would respond with my infamous "Popeye the Sailor Man" imitation with my chin cocked like Robin Williams and singing the theme tune. Crazy, huh? She wad cackle away and...

No one ever had better neighbors than we did on Joppa Road in Towson. Until the day I die, and rejoin the crowd that used to assemble on our front porch, I will remember staring at the battleship gray latex paint of that porch as Pete tried to get my dad to declare that Pabst's Blue Ribbon was a really good beer.

That's one enduring memory I have of the man, but there are dozens of others. Chief among them, though, is having him pinch my cheek and call me Bravo Boy. I never...

Dear Karangelen Family,
Carol and I send our sincere condolences to hear of the passing of your husband and father. My sister Chris would tell me of his Love, and Laughter of life and how he would love to have the kids stop in the lounge.

Dear Helen, Dana, and Penny:

Chris called me this morning to let me know of this very personal way I could contact you. I am sure dear Peter will be missed. From what I remember of you all is that you had a closeness that stemmed from this wonderful man who led a family in warmth and
love. I want you all to know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you. I miss Baltimore and look forward to spending more time travelling back to see more of my old friends I missed...

Pete was the best boss I ever had. He was a unique person and my condolences to Dana, Penny and Helen.

Dear Mrs. Karangelen,
My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your husband and faithful lifetime companion of 50 years. May all the happy memories
give you strength to carry on and may it comfort you to know that he no longer suffers with illness but resides in the everlasting love and presence of the Lord. Love Chris

Dear Dana and Penny,
Your father was a warmhearted, generous and kind man. I have many fond memories of him while growing up as a teenager around your family. He was always telling me jokes and making me laugh. I will never forget all the rides he gave us in his old station wagon and the late night visits to the kent lounge where he would make us sandwiches and soda. He made a lasting impression on me and made me feel welcome in his home or at the restaurant. I can't see Towson being...
