Peter Carlson "Woody" "Woody" Kern

I just came across this after reading about another Peter Kern in Cleveland. Did the search for Woody and am sad to learn he died so long ago. In my brief 3 1/2 years of living in Canton (from 7th grade until middle of 10th) Woody was a very close friend. Thinking of him now brings back many great memories - Sunday morning basketball, running a parking lot with him that his father owned, playing baseball a lot, and much more. I love to read the comments about Woody and think of him often. Canton back then was a remarkable place and Woody is a part of those fond memories.

i´m sure nobody will read this 11!years after peter has passed but i wanted to share a special memory. in 1983 i was offered a pro baseball contract with the walla walla blue mountain bears. i declined to offer and while at the bus station to go home to seattle peter showed up and tried to talk me into signing the contract. it´s something i´ll never forget. RIP Peter.. a good human.

I can ca not believe it has been 11 years since woody has passed. He was a great sports fan and enjoyed all the football and sports action this time of year. I'm thinking of him and his family at his time and hope the passing of the years have made this day easier for them.

Recently visited family in the Dallas area and traveled up to Denton to scout out where I used to work for Woody. Still miss him and wish I could still be there working for him. I negotiated a great many labor agreements for the company and he was always smiling when I returned. God bless you, Woody.

Woody was a great childhood and high school friend of mine. He was a great guy and went on to have an incredible life. I had a wonderful phone call from him a few months before his death. It meant a great deal to me to review things with him. I always admired his parents and grandparent, too.
