Not sure what to say?

I worked with Peter a Varian Associates 1967-69. I was an accountant in the International Operations that he headed up. I always stood in awe of his charm in dealing with people and used him as a model of how I wanted to treat people in my business career.

To the Kirwan family, we send our thoughts and prayers to all of you during these difficult times. We know and have worked with Peter (the son) and were saddened to hear about your loss. May God keep you strong.

Dear Kirwan Family,
I am sorry to hear of the sad news of Mr. Kirwan's death. As a child in elementary school, Mary Lou, his oldest daughter, was one of my best friends. I have not been in touch with any of the Kirwans in many years but remember the family very well and spent much of my childhood at their home both in Ladera, and after they moved, in Atherton. I remember loving My. Kirwan's British accent.
May he rest in peace.

Mr. Kirwan was a charming and gracious man, with a great wit. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his family, until they meet again.

Dear Kirwan Family,

This is a note from Dori Ives from the Erica Way, Ladera times. I will remember "Mr. Kirwan" for his booming voice trying to track down Mary Lou. You see as kids, we perfected the ability to hide in the pine trees and pretend to not hear our parents' voices. I always loved his English accent and was intrigued by his many stories. The Kirwan family was always so welcoming with a revolving door for any neighborhood kid.

I was sitting at my kitchen...

I never met Peter but knew his daughter, Susie as she was my daughter, Tey's best friend when they were in High School. I was very sorry to hear of Susie's father's death but want Susie to know that I will write a message to the Sisters' at the Carmel Monastery, where I spend time regualarly, asking for their prayers for her father and for all family members. God Bless! Sincerely, Charlotte Tolhurst

We will miss our lifelong neighbor and friend, Mr. Kirwan, for his positive and loving interest in our family over the years. He was always dapper, always, charming and always smiling.

I've known Mr. Kirwan as the father of my best friend since I was a little girl, second grade I think. When my best friend, Susie, his daughter, left the Bay Area and moved to Monterrey when I was 12, her father continued to work in the Bay Area and commute home on the weekends. Mr. Kirwan used to pick me up on Friday, and we would spend hours talking on the ride home. I honestly enjoyed the ride and the conversations with him just as much as the reunion with Susie. We talked about all...
