Kloppenburg, Peter Kyle It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Peter Kyle Kloppenburg on April 21, 2014, at the age of 59. Peter died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Milwaukee, Peter was the son of Barbara Hickey and of the late Jack Kloppenburg. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother Thomas Kloppenburg. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Victoria Kloppenburg, his daughter and son-in-law Katelyn and Todd Stange, his son Theodore Smith, grandchildren Zoe and Jackson Stange and Acacia Rose Smith, brothers and sisters-in-laws Jack and JoAnne, James and Janet, Jonathan and Charles Kloppenburg, nieces and nephews Shalako and Mike Thomas, Micah, Emily, Joanna, Kestrel and Leland Kloppenburg, and many other relatives and friends. Peter began his career as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, an affiliation that remained a strong influence in his life. He then returned to Mequon where he worked and started his family. A dedicated supporter of family, friends, the outdoors and any well stocked bar, Peter will be remembered for his love of bird hunting, races at Elkhart Lake, old movies, reading and cheese-burgers. A celebration of Peter's life will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 3906 W Mequon Road, Mequon. Private interment for family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcomed in Peter's name to the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792, or to the charity of your choice. A heart-felt thanks to the wonderful care and support of the team at the VA Medical Center in Madison.
