Peter A. Kourkoulis

Mr. Peter A. Kourkoulis, age 49, of Peabody died suddenly on Monday May 24, 2010 at Union Hospital, where he was taken after being stricken ill. He was the husband of Deborah Ann (Mayer) Kourkoulis, his wife of 10 years. Born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, he was the son of Athas "Arthur" and Angeliki "Kiki" (Koutroubis) Kourkoulis of Nahant. An honors student, Peter received his Bachelors Degree in Management from the University of Vermont. He had also attended Columbia University. Peter was co owner of the Continental Restaurant in Saugus and Angelicas Restaurant in Middleton. A wonderful person with a heart of gold, Peter was a loving and "Great Dad". He possessed a very good sense of humor and was very athletic in his younger years. Peter was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son Damion, 2 brothers Paul Kourkoulis, of Nahant, and Chris Kourkoulis, of N. Reading, 3 nieces and 3 nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Lynn, burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nahant. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
