Not sure what to say?

I'm so very sorry to learn of Peter's passing. I worked for him briefly at Chevron, and have very fond memories of my time with "Captain Kump," as I affectionately called him. Not sure if anyone is still reading this, but if so, Lindy and family, please accept my most sincere condolences.

Lindy and Family, so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I only met Peter a handful of times over the course of my life, the first being when I was about 8 or 9 at my Uncle's wedding. But every time was memorable and special for me because of who Peter was. He always went out of his way to be kind, generous, honorable, funny, and entertaining. He will be truly missed. Rest in peace, Peter x

Our thoughts are with Peter´s family at this sad time. Peter stayed with us in Carnoustie on his regular trips to Scotland and was a class act. His sense of humour was second none. Great company and he will be sadly missed by his Scottish friends.

Our hearts go out to the Kump family for the loss of Peter, a husband, father, brother, uncle, granddad, friend, Marine. Semper Fidelis. Nancy and John Thomas.

Peter will be missed for so many reasons, but he had a wonderful sense of humor and a great smile. Loved our times with him and Lindy. He was so dedicated to the Marine Corp Command And Staff College. My sympathies are with Lindy and the family.

If ever someone had a friend who was more thoughtful, more of a gentleman and more intelligent. He would look like Pete `Kumper´ Kump. They broke the mold when they created Marine Kump. Lindy , At this very moment Pete - is swapping sea stories with some other remarkable fellows from his days at Our Lady´s School and in the Corps...such as Rockne, the Gipper, Chesty Puller, and John Lejeune / luh jern. Telling them of his times at Notre Dame as there and Director of the Marine...

Peter was a great person, a great mentor and an even better friend. I learned so much from Peter over the years and will miss him dearly.

Kumper, while your passing has taken some color out of the world as I know it, I know you would rather celebrate the highlights of your life. While I only knew you for 15 years, you provided me with blinding highlights. From eyes watering because I was laughing so hard after hearing "yet another" great Kump chapter from your amazing life in New Orleans, to the 3AM conversation at Bray's Island brought to an abrupt end when the mini bar ran dry. They broke the mold after you Pedro. You will be...
