The devastating news of your passing, Peter, left all of us in the Highsmith family numb. We will always remember your welcoming sponsorship of us to the Lagos family, and the wonderful times and memories our families shared together.
May you be at peace and comfort in God's hands. Our love, prayers and condolences to your beautiful family.

I can still remember the first time we met. I came home from school and there was a baby in the house. I was so pleased mom let me hold him. Fast forward 30+ years this past summer we met again in North Carolina. It had been too long. No-fault of anyone. That's life. I regret I didn't hug him harder or speak to him longer. I...

Peter, thank you for your words and for being a positive influence in my life. You were always welcoming to the Marines who served in Lagos Nigeria. I still remember our talks and your advice to be a better man in my daily life. I will keep your family in my prayers. - Dios te tenga en su gloria mi hermano-
