Not sure what to say?

Dear Lane Family,
Mr. Lane was my guidance counselor at Wilson Junior High School. I cannot tell you how important he was to me, or how much he impacted my life. He helped me to have confidence in myself and showed me a kindness I had never known until then. I consider him one of the most important people in my life. I am truly blessed for having known him. My prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Kristin Caissie Drew

Lane Family:
I was a student of Mr Lane at Wilson Jr High in the early 60's and he helped me, a very unsure jr high student to excel above anyone's expectations, i always remember him as an inspiration in my life.

So sad to hear of Mr. Lane's passing. I was in his civics class in 1964/1965 season. I think of him often when I do my paintings because he gave us a project and I did a drawing of Francis X Balotti. My father taught me a great technique and Mr. Lane loved it. (said he was keeping it-and he did). So every time I use that technique, I think of how I started using it and of him. He also taught us to be aware of the goings on in the world. I passed that on to my kids as I would only let...

Please accept my condolences, Ellie. It was nice seeing Pete at our 50 year BSC reunion in 2006. He was a member of the planning committee for many of our reunions and always offered good suggestions. I will remember him for his sense of humor and dedication to teaching. He will be missed by many.

I am sorry to hear of Pete's recent death. We were classmates at BSC and shared many good times. The last time I saw Pete was at the end of our 50 year reunion weekend in 2006. He stood by the door and wished everyone a safe trip home and hoped we would have another reunion in 2011. He was a remarkable man. Ellie, please accept my condolences.

Ellie, I'm so very sad to learn of your loss and that of one of my classmates. When the class of '56 had its reuinion, I sat with you and Peter at breakfast and later we did the campus tour together. I was so happy to meet you and to spend time with you and Peter after so many years. He was a very, very good man! My prayers are with you.
Joan Warrington, Palm Harbor, FL, Class of '56.

To the Lane Family,
I never had Mr. Lane or "Peter J" as we called him at Wilson Jr. High, as a teacher, but he was always available to talk. offer words of encouragement, help solve any "teenage dilemma's". He was a mentor to so many. Thru the years, I would always try and live life by the words and wisdom of Mr. Lane. He will be missed by many, as he was so loved by many over the years.
God bless you and help you thru these difficult times. But your memories of all the good times...

Ellie - We were so sorry to hear about Peter's passing - our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

My thoughts are with all of you. Sorry for your loss.
