We are deeply saddened by the passing of Peter. We know him as more than a public servant-he was a man of principle, compassion, and dedication. His work in the community left a lasting impact, and his love for his family was evident in all he did. May his memory be a source of strength and pride, and may his legacy continue to inspire those who knew him. Our hearts are with you during this difficult time."

My dad Ed Keating Sr. and Billy Sullivan were very close to Peter. I'll always remember walking into Sullivan and Keating insurance and seeing the 3 of them talking Springfield politics. R.I. P. Peter, say hi to my dad .

I met Peter when he was my CYO basketball coach in the last 60's. I also worked on some of his early campaign. He always seemed interested in how I was doing and was willing to help if he could. Later I would see him when he volunteered at the St. Patrick's Road Race. We would chat and have a few laughs. Good man glad he touched my life in a positive way. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Peterand I worked on many of the same community projects back in the day. He never was above pitching in at the end of the event to assist in clean up. He always had a smile, a memory for names and was a people person. I had not seen him in years butI never forgot him and never will.
