Peter Lawlor was my dear, amazing and encouraging poetry mentor whom l met during a Whidbey Island Writers Conference in 2007. He invited Joan Hust , a good friend who had accompanied me to the conference - and me over to his cottage where he entertained us with his concertina and some lovely Celtic songs. Uncertain if my first message took! I send my deepest condolences to Peter's family. This amazing man was my very genteel poetry mentor and good friend and l feel so blessed to have known him.
