Not sure what to say?

I truly respect the work you did. Public School is tough. Wish you were here to give advice. You changed lives!

Thank you for being a wonderful educator for so many years.

I played field hockey for Coach Letizia for 4 years in high school (1990-1994). I am so grateful for the lessons that I learned from him - teamwork, community, perseverance, good citizenship - which continue to benefit me on a daily basis. May he rest in peace and may his family continue to be comforted in their loss.

Loved him so much one of my favorite teachers
He made me love Social Studies one of my fav classes to end my day and when he threw candy if we got answers right that was a extra bonus

Mr. Letizia was a teacher who made every student in his class feel seen and loved. I think of him often, but especially now that my son is a student at Sedgwick. Grateful for the kindness he showed to me and so many.

Mr. Letizia was one of the rare teachers that left an indelible image on many, many kids that came through his classroom. I think of him often as a great example of how to show up unafraid to be your true self.

I think of Mr. Letizia often. He was a transformational educator. He affirmed your personhood. I will never forget him as long as I live.

Pete was a lovely guy, with whom I shared a love for music and education. He touched so many lives, inspiring so many to become more sensitive to others and the world around them. I consider myself lucky to have known him and will always remember Pete.

Mr. Letizia was one of the first teachers I met committed to social justice. He explained to me how many hip-hop and rap lyrics reflected and protested conditions of oppression. At a time when I was being kicked out of class daily, Mr. Letizia told me I was smart and helped me believe I had something important to contribute. Some of my very best memories of my entire educational career were in Mr. Letizia's classroom.
