Peter B. Lord

Peter Lord changed the way Rhode Islanders think about environmental issues. He was a professional and a great man. The environmental community will miss him a great deal.

To The Lord Family,
I was so saddened to learn of Pete's passing.
I have some good memories of his years in the Greater Westerly-New London Area..and how fair he was as a daily reporter.
Pete was one of the most fair and friendliest reporter in our area and he continued his efforts and kindest to many over the years as a ProJo reporter.

May HE rest in PEACE with the LORD....and may you all have think of the good memories you have of a good husband and Dad..as he...

I met Peter many years ago at an SEJ retreat in Missoula. We became friends despite at best seeing each other once a year at a conference. He was so encouraging and so committed to journalism and to the environment. I admired his skill and passion.
Mostly I'll miss the wry and gentle wit and humor.
