Peter Madafferi, age 60, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Peter is survived by his wife of 36 years: Lisa Madafferi; two daughters: Brenna (Justin) Stanley and Colleen Madafferi; grandchildren: Tenley and Paige; mother: Shirley Kelly; brother: Michael (Peggy) Madafferi; sister: Marybeth (Jim) Diprospero; and several nieces and nephews.

Peter was preceded death by his father: Peter Madafferi, Sr.

Peter proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a Senior Service Technician at Armil CFS, with 36 years of service.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Geisen Funeral & Cremation Services, 7905 Broadway Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410 from 4:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Pete Ward officiating.

Some men leave their mark on the world by the way they live and the difference they make in the lives they touch. Peter's laughter and love will be in my thoughts and memories.

Ionia is sad today with the loss of Peter. Condolences to the whole family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Peter's family.

I have great memories of working with Peter at Locust Lawn--- and his patient attempts to teach me how to drive a motorcycle [not a good idea while wearing an all-white uniform!] He could often be found wearing a gas mask to slice the sweet onions for the famous deep fried onions, or silently concentrating on washing the huge piles of dishes that Kathy, Roger and Kay dumped into his never empty sink. Peter was a great guy, a loving father, a persevering driver, a spirited adventurer and a...
