PETER MARCUS

Please except my deepest sympathies to you and your family at this time of grieving. May God be with you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Peter was a great friend and mentor to me. We first met in 2002 in New York, traveled to see steel mills across the US and Russia (on photos - at Severstal in 2002). We worked on projects, we jocked, we laughed, we always had fun. Peter's sense of humor was like no one else's! His hospitality was outstanding - a few months after we met, Peter invited me for dinner at his beautiful house, where, among all other things, he made sure to show off his custom motorcycle that he proudly fired up for...

Adding to the long list of Peter's traits and roles, I add amazing "colleague." Working with him for many years at Mitchell Hutchins and PaineWebber I knew him as an extraordinary analyst, entrepreneur, teacher and friend. His energetic commitment to countless people in the steel industry and his devoted clients was unfailing and memorable. I am smiling at the memory of working with Peter and send greetings to his family, especially Drew, who I knew only slightly.

My heartfelt condolences to the Marcus family. Peter's passing is a big loss.
