Peter Michael Martino, age 84, longtime resident of Hinsdale, IL and Chicago, IL. Beloved husband of Patricia, nee Daley; devoted stepfather and extraordinary friend of Courtney, Peter (Michelle) and Patrick (Kathleen) Thompson; beloved Papa to Charlie, Eleanor, Richie, Amelia, Grace, Adeline, Billy and Patrick. Loving brother of Donna and Daniel Martino. Dearest cousin of Mary Ann (Morrie) Block. Fond brother-in-law, uncle and dear friend of many. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Evelyn and brother Michael. Peter was a proud and longtime Chicago area funeral director. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. He moved through the world with grace, kindness and elegance. He was so loved and is so missed. Visitation will be held on Monday June 14th, 2021 from 3 pm to 8 pm at St. Ignatius College Prep, in Tully Hall, 1076 Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608. Family and friends will meet Tuesday at Old St. Patrick Church, 700 W. Adams, Chicago, IL 60661, for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial (Mass will be livestreamed at https://livestream.com/oldstpats/petermartinofuneralmass). Please be advised that Masks are required in church for those who are not vaccinated. Private interment for family only will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
