Not sure what to say?

Throughout the eighties, I was fortunate to spend many, many lovely dinners and other good times with Alice and Peter. Perhaps the most special ones were the yearly New-Years-eves, and on each occasion, Peter was the person most listened to by all: how many stories can a person possibly have, one would think!.........but then there would be another one. Other cherished memories are how Peter was always gracious, always listening. This very very special person was an inspiration to many, and I...

Brent and I, together with our children, met Peter and Alice at Easter dinner at Ada Kruisbeek's in Potomac, Md, in 1991. We enjoyed getting to hear some of Peter's stories and to appreciate his sense of humor. This prompted us to read his book Striking Back which has remained memorable-even more so when we stood in the fields of Holland. He had a remarkable life and a courage of his convictions that is an inspiration. Our sincerest sympathy.

We have lost a brave companion, a man who quietly gave action to the principles by which he guided himself. He exhorted us to “Hang in, there!” and set a bright example. The world is a better place for his having graced it for a while, and indeed without the Peter Masters of this world, we might today be struggling in darkness.

I was saddened to read of Mr. Masters passing. I was a classmate of Kim's many years ago at Shepard School and remember fondly the class trip he arranged for us to Channel 9. Little kindnesses are remembered! I wish the family strength and comfort in their memories.
