HAMPDEN -- Peter V. Mazzaro, 72, most recently of Hampden, succumbed April 9, 2013, at Eastern Maine Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born May 21, 1940, to Louis G. Mazzaro and Gwendolyn (Frost) Mazzaro in Somerville, Mass.

Quick witted Peter, you will be missed...

Your father was a good friend. We worked together many years and shared many stories. I will miss him.

I remember Peter very well from when I was in my mid-teens (mid-1960's). Peter, Gail, and the children were members of St.Matthews church in Hallowell. My parents, Margaret and Buzzy Reed, along with other members of St. Matthews at that time, were close friends with Peter and Gail. I actually did a little babysitting for you children. Mostly, I remember the funny and entertaining friendship Peter and my father,Buzzy,shared.

To the great memories of my dear friend PETER and his wonderful family--- all the really special times together with our children at holiday get together's as family -----
All the alone times with CLEO at my camp fishing , hunting , planning our trip to Alaska as well as just raising HELL ----
PETER was a very skilled craftsman able to build anything with ease ---- a fellow football player in the glorious 50's-----
O'how we laughed about the Gardiner characters and the old camp...
