Not sure what to say?

As the Greenwich High School Class of 1965 prepares to celebrate our 60th reunion, we fondly remember Peter McDevitt as our Class Advisor along with Anne Modugno, Health and PE teacher and coach. He was a beloved educator. My love and most sincere condolences are with his family on this anniversary of his passing.

Heartfelt prayers and thoughts to the entire family. I babysat for you in the 1970's. Great man, he'd walk me home 2 be sure i was safe to the corner of Summit and North, a gentleman. Lorraine, I'm so sorry for your loss!! Hold on to all the great memories!! Amen

Altho a generation apart, fellow UCONN grad, Lambda Chi Alpha brother. and UCONN track/CC [failed there] .. all in the late 60's. And USMC. In the 80's, Peter helped me regain our lost LCA charter being on our Alumni Advisory Cmte. Always a help to those around him.

I remember peter very well from high school. He was a great sport, always a lot of fun to be with as we travelled in the same bunch of friends. He played right wing on our soccer team and was consistently good. In our senior year we had a great new coach, a brilliant former captain of Manchester United. Under his leadership we came close to winning the CT state championship. Great fun. Peter was a great friend.

Coach was a legend in UConn and Ct. High School Sports. His goal was to bring out the best in all his athletes. He was a warm and caring Christian man. May God rest his soul. Condolences to his loving family.

Dear Lorraine, it was with great sorrow that I read about Peter's passing. I cannot attend services, but will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, Moira

I knew Coach back at Greenwich High,he was a great guy, he will definitely be missed,he was one of a kind, and he made a great impression on everybody.......Bob Fogg 64

I last saw Peter in 1953 at the Naval Hospital in Japan. Pete was wounded for the second time and was ticked off that they wanted to send him home. I have photos of our time together at the hospital. He was a true American Hero.

Remembering Coach McDevitt with fondness. He was a real friend to all. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
