In Memory of Peter Meyer It is with a heavy heart that I remember Peter, who passed away on August 18, 2024. His leadership and kindness left a lasting impact on all of us, and he will be deeply missed. This year (2025) has been particularly challenging for me, as I also lost my only child, Kaleb, after a brief illness. My deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family. This is really sad news. Peter was very kind, intelligent, humorous, and always generous to everyone. I enjoyed working with him at NCHS/DRM. He played a huge role in my success and I am forever grateful for that. Peter will be deeply missed!

I am sorry to hear this sad news and share your loss. As everyone else is saying, Peter was a very kind, generous, and helpful with everyone. I will always remember his smile and sense of humor. I feel so sorry to know that Peter passed away. He was a great colleague and mentor to me while at NCHS. He always wore a uniform, which make him look very serious. But we all know that he is very informal and humorous. Most importantly, he cared very much about our (his colleagues) needs and always came up with ideas to support us. Beyond work, he has lots of knowledge in many disciplines. He is like an encyclopedia to me. It always had been fun to listen to his stories. I really miss him.

Peter, when I met him at DLIFLC in Monterey, struck me as confident and jovial out of the gate. We were in an environment (Russian Language School) where 1/2 of the participants failed and he always seemed to have a sense of grace and tenacity in the way he approached things. This turned out to be the case as long as I knew him.
