Not sure what to say?

Peter hired me for the job that turned out to be the most wonderful one of my life. I will never forget my trip to POV and all the wonderful people. Peter was truly a very special person. Lucille, I am very sorry for your loss

All of us who have had the honour and privilege of working with Peter, both Inuit and Kadluna alike, owe him an enormous debt of gratitude. For my part of the story, Peter hired me as a pretty raw recruit with limited marketable skills. This provided me with the opportunity to live out a life long dream of working in the North which I still regard as the highlight of my life.

Peter's work ethic, infectious enthusiasm and incredible energy set the gold standard for the rest of my...

Pour son immense gentillesse et son accueil exceptionnel à sa table: Merci Monsieur Murdoch. Je n'oublierai jamais votre bonté envers ma fille et moi.

We are so sorry of Mr. Murdoch's passing away, our sympathy to Mrs. Lucille Murdoch to the family and friends our hearts reach out to you - he was a very good, generous and I respected him for what he accomplished to the Inuit nation

My husband, Robert Wiseman met Peter, in POV. What an interesting man to be with, full of knowledge about the area and he had a profound love for the POV people.

I worked with Peter and Lucille at the Federation and I have very fond memories of my time there and how kind Peter and Lucille were to me. Thinking of your family at this time of loss.

I met Peter in POV in 1991 and he changed the course of my life, by sparking an interest in Nunavik and the Arctic. I'll never forget our early conversations about his life on Baffin Island in the 1950s and his work with the co-op movement. My condolences to everyone in the Murdoch family.

R.I.P. Pitaaluk. Lucille, it is hard to believe it has been fifty years since that first memorable Christmas day with you both in Yellowknife. Your indomitable strength, courage and selflessness so often kept the team qamutiq from going over the cliff during those seemingly endless early days, nights, even years, when visibility over the trails of Nunavik was not too good. My profound admiration and condolences for your loss.

My memories of Peter stem from childhood. This great tall friendly gentlemen, attempting to make a shy little girl laugh,as I was hiding behind my Dad. Needless to say a very positive memory.Lucille,Bernard,Sylvia,Ricky,Danny,
Joanne ,Paul and family,I am sorry for your loss.
