Although I didn't know Pete well, he was a huge part of me getting to know Ypsilanti. I was a student at EMU and he would tell me about the history of Ypsilanti politics at various events around Ypsilanti. It seemed like he would be at every event! It was great to see someone so dedicated to telling Ypsilanti's story to the next generation. He would always have the pulse of the city and he was a guide for young activists such as myself. Grace, I was so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. He was a great asset to our community. Bob and I always knew he cared so much and always did the very best he could for all of us. He, and you, were tireless workers for the good of all. We considered Pete and you as friends and will certainly miss him. God be with you and comfort you.
