Not sure what to say?

Sheila,

I only learned today, July 27, of Peter's passing and am in shock. Coach Murph coached our son Jordan in VYS. He was superb with the youngsters--patient, compassionate, funny, energetic--all the qualities you want in a coach or a man. I respected him greatly and always was touched by the sight of your loving family on soccer Saturdays. You and Patrick, Kevin and Maeve are in our thoughts and our prayers.

Dear Sheila,
My entire family is so saddened by your loss. Peter was a wonderful person as we were able to see first hand through his loyal friendship with Larry Everling. Maureen and Larry never had enough wonderful things to tell us about Murph. Our family will pray for yours during this very difficult time. Love, Susan Buckley Doran and Kieran Doran

I had the pleasure of working for Peter as his secretary for 4 years (from 1998 thru 2001). He was a great boss. He had a small margin for errors which I admired about him most. My Prayers go out to Sheila, Patrick, Kevin and Maeve.

Sheila, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. You and Kevin, Patrick and Maeve have been on my mind constantly since I heard of Murph's passing.
Murph had a love of life that was contagious. His gregarious personality made a party more fun. I'll always remember him winning the heads and tails game at the auction. I just can't believe he's gone. The entire Murphy family is in our prayers.

I knew Peter as an outstanding environmental attorney, his chosen profession. He handled a significant environmental case for many years in our community as the lead attorney until his untimely death. He was the consumate professional counselor and barrister:smart, hardworking, deeply thoughtful, persuasive, articulate, trustworthy, creative, and above all, passionate in representing the client. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence, which will benefit this community and its people for years...

Murph was a great coach and mentor for all the boys on his soccer teams. Despite his busy schedule, he made it to all the practices and games. He was gregarious and shared his enthusiasm for life on and off the soccer field. We were happy to know him if only for this brief time. We connected on many levels and felt like we knew him for years. He will missed by all.

I am so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. Although I have not seen him in years, I remember Pete as a fun, friendly, happy, outgoing guy. I send my most sincere condolences to his family.

We will miss Murph. He was such a great friend, father and husband. We have great memories of your laugh and your joy of life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sheila, Kevin, Patrick and Maeve. We love you all.

It is with great sadness that I write this entry. Coach Murph inspired me to coach youth sports. He got the best out of his players and made sure they all got equal time playing as well as being recognized for their efforts. I will forever be grateful for his kindness and enthusiasm. We lost a great dad, coach and mentor. God bless Sheila, Patrick, Kevin and Maeve.
