PETER T. SR. "BUZZ" On July 14, 2005. Age 63. Of Gloucester City. Loving father of Peter T. Naughton, Jr. (Renee) of Mullica Hill. Devoted Brother of Ellen Hamilton of Medford. Beloved grandfather of Savannah Lee. Loving Uncle of Michael Hamilton, Tim Hamilton and Tom Hamilton. Dear Godfather of Brian Padgett and Michael Hamilton. Dear Friend of Tim and Ida Cluck. Devoted friend of Mariza Rodriguez and Lynn Freeman. Pete was first and foremost an educator and taught in the Woodlynne School District for 30 years and taught G.E.D. at the Volunteers of America in Camden until recently. Relatives, friends and fellow educators are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Saint Mary's R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 8 pm in the church. Cremation private with Enurnment in the Niche at New Saint Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr. My two sisters have written about our cousin Buzzy and the great memories we have of our visits with him and Ellen in New Jersey. I was the youngest of the three of us and thought Buzzy was more than just a cool cousin. We grew up when Philadelphia was the place to be and Bandstand was a daily event in our lives. Sincere sympathy on the death of Pete from all the Lyons family in Ireland. Although we were never fortunate enough to meet him, we have fond memories of his aunt, Mary Ellen, who often visited us in Galway. We will remember him in our prayers. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam(May he rest in peace).

Sadness hit my heart when I heard of the passing of Mr. Naughton. My brother and I were students of his in the early eighties at Woodlynne Public School. He was such a kind, understanding, and caring teacher and person. My prayers and deepest sympathy to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

To Buzz, my brother & friend. I just wanted to add some words to your tribute.
Pete worked evenings at Cambell Soup Corp. for Guards Mark after his full day at Woodlynne School. Later he taught the GED program at Riverfront State Prison where he helped inmates have a chance for a future, with a great record of success. He loved the Mummers-string bands-oh yeah! He'd call me during the parade and critque the music!
