Not sure what to say?

I was looking up old friends, and discovered that Peter had died. This is very sad news. I hope that this note, years after their loss, doesn’t make the grief worse for Lily and the rest of his family.

I used to stop for Peter in the mornings on my way to Lincoln School in Caldwell (we all walked in those days). I admired his room and the model airplanes that he made, and I kind of worshiped Lily from a far as the sister I always wanted.

With great sadness I just heard of my childhood friend Peter's death. Peter and I grew up on the same street in Caldwell NJ and then moved to the shore later in life. Peter was a very kind an compassionate person who always put everyone else before himself. I have such fond memories of playing together with Peter in and around his grandparents house on Gould place. The house had a huge garage and barn behind it that served as our playhouse and fort. We had so many great adventures there and...

I’m honored to be able to tell you today about Pete – He was such a good man to me and my family, never having a negative thing to say or do. All my memories of him are kind and I’m lucky to have been his nephew.
My respect for him will be with me forever.
