Peter F. Pavan, 83, of Wind Gap, formerly of Pen Argyl, passed away, Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Rose (Villiano) Snyder Pavan. Born: Born in Pen Argyl, February 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Antonio and Theresa (Braido) Pavan. Personal: Pete was employed as an iron worker for Iron Workers Union 36, Bethlehem. He and his wife Rose owned and operated Lora Lee Apparel, Roseto and he also helped in wife and daughter Lora at Rose's Main Street Caf, Roseto. He was a 1949 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. In his younger years he played baseball in the Blue Mountain League and he enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and tending bar at the former Bocci Club, Pen Argyl. Memberships: In addition to the Iron Workers Union, Pete was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, and the Martocci-Capobianco American Legion Post 750, Roseto. Survivors: In addition to his wife Rose, he is survived by three daughters, Cindy Michlovsky and her husband Richard of Wind Gap, Audrey Trumbauer and her husband Randy of Roseto and Lora Gower of Pen Argyl, four grandchildren, Danielle and Alyssa Michlovsky, Ted Geffert and Desiree Comunale and two great grandchildren, James and Dominic Comunale. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony P. and Raymond J. Pavan. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, September 15, 2014, at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be viewing hours, Sunday beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl and Monday beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to either, Immaculate Conception School, Lobb and Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA 18072 or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 15 Linden Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
