Not sure what to say?

Margie, Matt & Mark: As we reach the one year Anniversary of Pete's passing, I reflect in the time all of you lived next door to us and the happiness and love which surrounded all of you. Matthew and Mark are slowly moving forward with some obstacles, but they will get past all these and make you and Pete so proud of them. Margie, your road has been bumpy, but your strength and determination allow you to face each new day. I treasure your friendship and vow to be here for all of you. Pete...

Margie, Matthew, Mark, and family.
It's been almost one year now, and I hope that you are all on the mend.
God does provide comfort, if you ask Him. He has helped me cope with Pete's passing, but I still miss my friend.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers for strength and guideance. I hope you are all doing a little better, now that time has passed by.
Pete always loved you very much, and he would always 'beam' when he spoke about you. I am fortunate to have known him and...

Margie! I just saw Pete's name in the 'State' Magazine and tracked this down. I am so sorry for your loss. Breaks my heart for you and your children. I often reflect back on my time at state and you are always in those memories ~ aerobics, Robert Plant girls, etc, etc.! You are a gem! You are in my thoughts! ~ Connie (Christopherson) Dodge

I was shocked to read of his passing. He was a great friend while we were at SDSU!

Pete and I met long ago and I knew him all too briefly. With the name Pete Petersen and long hair then that was also distinctive, he made a quick and lasting impression. He was an excellent resident assistant and I was a hall director from another hall.

Once when I went to visit him on his floor, I found he suddenly had short hair and was giving haircuts to others. He even offered me one! He laughed when I requested a less drastic change than his. Due to his dynamic energy, yet calming...

Petersen Family-

Very sorry for your loss. I just learned of this via the SDSU Alumni magazine. Pete was a kind and engaging RA (resident assistant) in the dorms at South Dakota State University when I met him in 1992. He used to give hair cuts to people living on 3rd Floor Brown Hall. The catholic guys from the floor would often go to mass at the nearby Newman center together. It's been 22 years since I've seen him, but I am sad to learn of his passing.

Margie, Pete's passing has been a shock to all of us that knew him and worked with him at Sprint. Our years together at Sprint and through grad school were fun and full of memories. Pete and I kept in touch since we left Sprint and he will be missed. We pray that God will comfort you and the boys and guide you all through these difficult times. Sorry for your loss!

Margie and family, I'm very sorry for your families loss. When you lived in Northern VA, I was always happy to meet up with Pete or talk with him on the phone. Attached is a photo from the 2000 Boston Marathon with silly Boston Red Sox hats at a baseball game.

Margie,
Our deepest condolences to you and the boys, I have nothing but fond memories of both of you. As a co-worker of Pete's at Sprint, we all watched or listened intently when he ran in the marathons. We were honored to know him. May God's blessing be on you and the boys.
