Not sure what to say?

Unfortunately we were not able to offer our prayers of sympathy in person at the time of Peter's wake and funeral. However, be assured all of you have been and will be remembered in our prayers of gratitude for the life, works and generosity of this fine gentleman. May each of you know the caring hand of God in the days before you and may the memories of your loved one always call forth a smile from your hearts.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Picknellys, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook cast their magic across the Northeast uniting family and friends. As someone who grew up in the Pioneer Valley during PP's early, black and white days, it brings a smile to my face to see a colorful "Peter" coming down the highway. My heart goes out to all the Picknellys.

He was a pillar in our city. A man that never hesitated when asked for help. Whether is was someone that needed a ticket to Boston or money to fund a special project for the city, he gave so freely. He helped me, my family and my friends. Our community was blessed to have had such a presence. It was an honor to know him. May he rest in peace and to his family, may God bless you all.

Judith: I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Peter. Because of your friendship, I had the opportunity to meet him. It was a joy to have known him. Praying always for you. Vivian

We extend our prayers and sympathy to you and your family. (From the Staff of It's My Hair, Hartford, Connecticut)

I will always remember working at his beautiful home and the kind generous person he was. He always treated me with respect and kindness. Spfld will lose a great contributor to the well being of the city.

I am most grateful to Mr. Picknelly for his personal help to my son-in-law, coming from Italy, who then met my daughter. I have the most wonderful grandchildren, as a result of his generosity. My deepest condolences to the entire family. We will always remember this fine man.

It was a pleasure to work for Peter, he was a wonderful person who always made me feel like part of the family. My condolences to Peter Jr, Paul and Mary Jean. You're in my thoughts.

I will always be grateful to Peter for the support and kindness he extended to The Springfield Marksmen Drum & Bugle Corps. He was a good man!
