Dad was a great man who very much loved his family and country. As a young man he entered the Army during World War II. He became certified to drive and operate a Tank and also spent time as a tail gunner. However it was his excellent memory that eventually led to his assignment as a reconnaissance scout. He worked very hard and learned many things, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. During his time in service he proudly served under both General Bradley and General Patton.
