Read MoreMy sincerest condolences. I met Peter through my wife, Julie. We played pool against each other from time to time. I wish we did it more often, but we lived pretty far away from each other, so it was a rare treat. Peter loved playing pool - he didn't let his wheelchair slow him down! Peter was a good guy. Great sense of humor; we exchanged many jokes over the years and many laughs. I will miss him greatly.

I met Peter as a Freshman at SIU in Carbondale. We were great friends and I loved his spirit and sense of fun. We lost touch over the last few years, but I continued to think of him often. His smile lit up any room he entered. My prayers go out to his family. I was so sorry to miss his service.
