I knew Fr. Rookey when he was assigned to St. Marie Du Lac in Ironton, MO. My father owned a country home in Iron County. We always had an open door for Fr. He was profoundly intelligent. Sometimes Father had to say a late mass in another town. I would go with him and keep him company. It was years later that I learned he was "the healing priest". Lost touch after he left Iron county. I was at St. Paul´s church in fort worth Texas not sure what year and I attended fr rookeys healing service I got there really early with my aunt I was sitting in the dark church only one other person was there besides us and it was an elderly lady very sick.
