Both my daughters were privileged to spend several years at Angier after school with Peter. He was wonderful and kind to them. We were very sad to hear about his passing. -Ron Curtis

So saddened to have come across. Simply put there was no one like Peter. I had the opportunity of being a student in the Angier after school program that Peter ran. Years later after graduating high school and then even graduating college, I would go back to Angier and when peter would see me he would yell out" Brian Ives". He would proceed to ask me how my family was and even remembering the kids I hung out with at Angier After care and would ask if I was still in touch with them. Peter...

I still think of Peter often-every time I work with kids and it goes well, I always have Peter to thank. He taught me my whole approach to elementary school teaching. Rest In Peace, Peter. What an honor to have known you for 25 years-as your student, a visitor, then an occasional employee, and an admirer of your one of a kind soul.

Tonight I was listening to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and thinking about Peter. Although no one will read this (as I write at the very end of 2022) I´m glad that the fact that he was so very clear in my mind is going out into the world. He was a one off, and I am grateful to have known him well for a time.

I had the honor and the pleasure of woking with Peter for 12 years. We could not have been more different people, yet we became the best of friends. There was nothing I would not have done to help Peter in any way I could. I honor Peter's memory every day by making my 9's the same way he made his, and every time I write that 9 on my white board in the gym, I think of my friend. Continue to RIP Peter, you are missed every day and you will never be forgotten

I worked with Peter at AASP for a couple of years in the early 1980's. Not that many people from such a short amount of time and that long ago leave a lasting impression, but he did. A big storyteller, a big laugh, and most of all, a big heart. I'm sad I didn't make the effort to get back in touch. May his memory be for a blessing...I know it will.

Peter was a blazing light in an uncertain world. Newton families have lost a kind and passionate man who truly loved his work. I was his loving student as a child and his admiring peer as an adult.
