My good friend and coworker from Conrail to Amtrak. Was always a pleasure to work with any time around the year. His infamous greeting was "here comes a good worker", would always get me smiling. We sloshed through rain, mud and snow, whether Hostling in the Meadows EH or at Sunnyside EH. It was my honor to work with P.J. He was more my friend than I was his. I kept to myself for obvious reasons while working. He considered us all Brothers and always acted that way. He kept up with all of us...

Pete, it was a pleasure knowing you and working with you. We were kind of like neighbors since our lockers were next to each other. I'll miss bumping into you and our conversations.

PJ You surprised me with this picture last fall 2008 via email. I had failed earlier with my camera. We never talked about it but somehow you knew. I guess you savoured our migration to DC as Firemen in 1978. Thank you for your friendship of 30+ years on the railroad. Sincerely "There's a Worker", as you put it.

Pete I thank you for the good coversations and being a good co-worker. I will miss you.

Peter, you were a very kind father in law. You made me feel part of the family the day Jessica and I were married. I always enjoyed our lively conversations, and you always made me laugh. One thing in particular that made you stand out was your incredible work ethic. And, I always admired the way you cared for your family, in particular Jessica.
You are missed so much. I know you are in a very special place.
