Peter Saccio

While attending Dartmouth (Class of 1980), I enrolled in three of the courses which this man taught - Shakespeare, Modern British Drama, and English Renaissance Drama. His wit and warmth captivated my attention completely!

I much enjoyed Peter´s presentation when lecturing on Shakespeare in the Great Courses series. His contributions are and will remain memorable for those of us who deeply appreciate his knowledge and enthusiasm.

Peter had a sterling intellect and rapier wit. I shall miss our discussions from which I always walked away inspired, enlightened and better for them. You were a force, dear man, and my hope for you is that you've been reunited with those whom you love. And perhaps, Shakespeare is now getting an earful...much love and light to those you've left behind.

I love Peter Saccio´s lectures on Shakespeare´s histories, comedies, and tragedies (Teaching Company). I am watching them again now. I´m saddened to hear of his passing. His lectures helped me when I was teaching high school Shakespeare; his passion, knowledge, and humor combined to make the lectures works of art in and of themselves. To all of those who knew and loved him, I extend my deepest sympathy.
