I have just learned that my unforgettable and fabulous classmate from Wheaton College, IL, Peter Sanders, has passed from this earth. I am devastated to know that this lively, loveable, creative and completely original man has left us. Peter changed my life. Dear Peter - You left us far too soon and none of us were ready to say goodbye, especially not Gisele. Your kindness, patience and knowledge will be missed by many who have had the pleasure of knowing you. Peace, my friend.

Peter was my step-father. I´ve known him for as long as I can remember. He taught me how to tie a tie. He first played me Talking Heads and Steely Dan and Taj Mahal and English choral music and Bob Marley and Hawaiian slack key guitar music. I proudly wore-and still wear-his ties, shirts, shoes. I always show off the photographs of his that hang in our house. We´d talk about the NBA, advertising, house repairs, and all kinds of other things that I really didn´t talk to anyone else about. I was saddened to hear of Peter's passing. Peace and consolation to Giselle. I will miss Peter's annual holiday card and the emails on my birthday. Peter was a class act.
