Not sure what to say?

Mister Santos, as we always knew him at Woodstock Academy, had much to do with my pursuit of history and a rewarding career in historic preservation in Ohio. My condolences to his family. Jeff Darbee, Columbus, Ohio.

Dear Mrs. Santos and extended family, I wanted to extend my sincere condolences on Peter´s passing. We worked together many years being involved with the Horace Smith Fund and it´s many awards of scholarships. I will certainly miss Peter´s wisdom and hard work on the scholarship team. Sincerely, Mike Williams

Pete hired me as a first year teacher at Longmeadow High, and I remember many words of wisdom and insights that he imparted as my first Department Chair. I am grateful for the ways he encouraged me in my career as an educator. He had a zest for life that inspired many students.

I took every class Mr. Santos taught at LHS, and he (along with Mr. Gelinas) kindled my love of Hinduism and Zen, and set me on my career as both a rabbi and an author. I dedicated my 2013 book Perennial Wisdom to him. My dad got a copy to him. I visited him annually after graduation. He was a powerful and beloved presence in my life.

An honor to be on the same faculty at Longmeadow High School with this outstanding teacher.

A heartfelt thank you for your service to our country. Rest In Peace.

My deepest condolences. Mr Santos was my all-time favorite teacher and a beloved fellow musician. His smile, humor, love of all things history, and commitment to student will long be remembered. Love, Christina Heaphy Mato LHS `92

As a student, colleague and life-long friend of Pete, his passing reminds us all of how many adventures - educational, musical, communal and international - await all of us who choose to embrace and truly enjoy life´s opportunities. He was singularly responsible for my decision to become a teacher, and his unwavering support made the experience both exciting and satisfying. He will be missed by students, colleagues, fellow musicians and all who were fortunate to know him.
