Not sure what to say?

Remembering Pete today!

My Dear Pete
You are not forgotten. There are for sure a lot of people across the pond in Europe hat have fond memories of your greandeur, your kindness, your outgoing personality and your huge heart. One of them is myself.
This summer I invite you to have a glass of red wine with me, out on the porch of my Tiny House near Zurich. You would love it there - I'm pretty sure.
Always in my heart. See you. Love, Paco

My dear Pete. Would be good to have a chat with you out on the porch at 2400 Stevens Avenue, Minneapolis. and get to know your thoughts about what is going on out there in the World....!? We'll find out some day. A big hug, up, your way. Paco

It’s 2021, but still thinking of you, Pete!!

I miss you, Pete!!

Godspeed, Pete.

You were a great guy, created a legacy that lives on today, and always were hospitable to those who visited you. I'll never forget the time we went downtown for a drink, and I moved to pay, and you actually got up blocked me. "You're not paying for a drink in MY city!" you said, and I didn't, and that's the kind of person you were. I feel Lori's pain and still think of you.

May God Be with you always Pete Westill miss you. Kathy Klein

Reading the messages here, it strikes me that I wasn't lucky enough to know Pete. But, I've been working as a live-in staff person at his hostel for 4 months, often curious about its history, the stories it would tell me if it could.

We've had long, busy weekends with 35-40 people in my short time here. We've had quieter days, as well, when it at first felt eerie to be so few people in such a large, majestic space.

It has fascinated me to find that, regardless of being 5 or 40,...

Pete loved to travel. In my mind he's still on his journey. I miss him.
