PETER SCHOEN

I was Peter's next door neighbor when I lived on Midwood Road in Woodmere, NY. Though I hardly knew him, this tall, quiet, smart neighbor made a positive impression on me.I moved to Miami after 6th grade in 1959. I've thought of him now and then, and his younger sister Judy, through the years. A gentle , kindly young man when I knew him. I hope he rests in peace. Did not know Peter well but my wife Shelley and I took his bridge classes in Asheville. He was a genial, humorous man with a gift. Had hoped to get together with him in Black Mountain when we returned from London. Sadly we were away when he died. June 18th was also my birthday. Our condolences. A good man he was.

Peter was a dear friend to us, and loved by everyone who knew him here in North Carolina. His dedicated wife Myra was the love of his life (in both their words), and they were a match made in heaven. We are all heartbroken.

So very sorry to learn of Peter´s sudden death. Will always remember him for his wonderful, dry sense of humor.
