Mary and Pete,
Its difficult to find words to adequately capture the loss of a parent, especially one who, like your father, gave you comfort, guidance and love in such abundance. He gave me, his daughter's roommate, some of that vintage fatherly advice, when I moved to Great Falls in 1980. I will always appreciate his wit and wisdom. He still offered sage advice as he aged, even as his body declined. What a blessing for you both. My prayers are with you.
