I just saw today that Dr. Schwartz had passed away,,, he was an extraordinary person, he saved my life in 1997 and a made a scary time in my life more bearable,, he had great bedside manner and i will never forget his kindess to me. Rest in Peace Sir. you were an angel on earth.

Peter and I were roommates at Union College. He was my best man when Nancy and I were married. His sense of humor was infectious. He and Arlene came to our 50th wedding anniversary celebration in New Jersey.

Peter was a leader in our field and had the foresight to think outside the box. As a result he impacted many women´s lives in a positive way. He will be missed!

One of my life´s richest gifts was so be entrusted to the compassionate care of Dr. Schwartz and his remarkable colleagues at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. Dr. Schwartz was a missionary of hope, the "calm in a storm" with a zeal for healing; clinical problem solving; pioneering surgical/medical interventions; mentoring other clinicians; and guiding...

My Deepest Condolences to Arlene and the entire Schwartz family. I will always remember my days operating with Peter; however, my single most precious memory of him was when we drove together to the NEAGO meeting in Stowe, VT and how he had brought back a carved bear statue back to CT on another occasion. That and the many SGO meetings will be remembered fondly forever.

Deepest condolences on this loss of a talented and dedicated clinician.
